We will learn about cannabis, its various strains and effects on the body, and the possible use of cannabis for anxiety and insomnia. We'll learn how a treatment plan, and the role of cannabis relative to other therapies, is developed, and what to consider if you are using other medications. We'll discuss how dosage formats differ, and what to look for on a label when purchasing products so you know you're getting what you intended as well as how a knowledgeable cannabis-recommending health care provider would determine the ideal dose for an individual patient.
Frank Lucido, MD, has provided primary care for more than 35 years, the last 20 years including nurse practitioner Maria Mangini PhD, FNP. Since passage of the 1996 Compassionate Use Act (Prop 215), they have been performing medical cannabis consultations. Their experience and knowledge are rare, making these practitioners particularly valuable medical cannabis resources.
